Silicone Rubber O ring (Q, MQ, VMQ, PVMQ)

Physically, o ring silicone are based on silicon, an element derived from quartz. To create this class of synthetic elastomers, pendant organic groups such as methyl, phenol and vinyl are attached to silicon atoms. The different additions of side chains can achieve significant variations in properties. Silicone have excellent heat, ozone and corona resistance, are very well dielectric stability, and resistant to many oils, chemicals, and solvents. 


Fluorocarbon (FKM) O ring:

Fluorocarbon has excellent resistance to high temperature, ozone, weather, oxygen, mineral oil, fuels, hydraulic fluids, aromatics and many organic solvents and chemicals. In addition to the standard Viton compounds, we can supply parts made by Viton like general type , middle fluorine content type , high fluorine content type , improving low temperature flexibility type (GLT-, GFLT) and excellent resistant to more chemicals and solvents-- Viton  ETP Extreme.


NBR O ring:

The higher the acrylonitrile content, the better the resistance to oil and fuel. At the same time, elasticity and compression set resistance to low temperature is adversely affected. The lower acrylonitrile content obtains, the better low temperature resistance, but at a sacrifice to some resistance to oils and fuels. In view of these opposing realities, a compromise selection is the medium acrylonitrile content rubber. NBR has good mechanical properties when compared with other elastomers and high wear resistance.


PTFE O Ring:

PTFE's mechanical properties are low compared to other plastics, but its properties remain at a useful level over a wide temperature range of -100°F to +400°F (-73°C to 204°C). Mechanical properties are often enhanced by adding fillers (see paragraph below). It has excellent thermal and electrical insulation properties and a low coefficient of friction. PTFE is very dense and cannot be melt processed -- it must be compressed and sintered to form useful shapes.
